How SpeakScore™ Works (Behind the Scenes)

SpeakScore™ combines intelligent speech analysis with human calibration to provide fair, supportive, and practical feedback.

When you upload your video, key speech signals are analyzed — including clarity, pace, vocal energy, structure, and language patterns. This creates a consistent, objective starting score and identifies strengths and growth areas.

Each report is then reviewed to ensure the feedback is clear, encouraging, and actionable.

The goal is not perfection — it’s progress.

SpeakScore™ evaluates the first 60–90 seconds of your video to ensure fairness and consistency across all submissions.

How is my SpeakScore™ created — is it AI or human?

SpeakScore™ uses both.

  • AI analyzes speech patterns such as pace, clarity, filler words, and vocal energy.

  • Gene provides calibration, oversight, and quality review.

  • Final results reflect structured analysis with human oversight.

This hybrid approach ensures consistency while preserving tone and encouragement.

What does my score mean?

Your SpeakScore™ is a 0–100 confidence score showing how your speaking delivery comes across to others.

It reflects delivery, clarity, and presence — not intelligence or subject-matter expertise.

Scores fall into clear ranges so you can understand where you are today and what to improve next.

Think of your SpeakScore™ as a helpful snapshot — not a label.

How does the scoring work?

We focus on the first 60–90 seconds of your video to maintain consistency and fairness.

Key elements evaluated include:

  • Clarity and articulation

  • Structure and organization

  • Confidence and presence

  • Vocal delivery and pacing

  • Engagement and connection

Structured analysis identifies measurable patterns, and calibrated benchmarks guide the scoring.

You receive:

  • Your overall score (0–100)

  • Category breakdown scores

  • Strengths

  • Two focus areas

Why does SpeakScore™ evaluate only the first 90 seconds?

The opening moments of a speech reveal the most about clarity, confidence, structure, and presence.

Limiting analysis to 60–90 seconds:

  • Keeps scoring consistent and comparable

  • Reduces pressure to deliver a long, rehearsed speech

  • Focuses on the most impactful part of your delivery

If your video is slightly longer, that’s fine — only the opening segment is analyzed.
